HUMMUS
Hummus is a fantastic Dip, served with Pita bread, chips, potato fritters or vegetables.
Ingredients:
1 cup of Chickpeas or Channa
3-5 tbsp lemon juice (depending on taste)
1 1/2 tbsp tahini (Sesame Seed Sauce)
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil.
Method:
Soak the chickpeas overnight.
Drain chickpeas and set aside.
Combine remaining ingredients in Mixer or food processor.
Blend it to a nice, creamy smooth paste.
Place in serving bowl.
Add a small amount of olive oil on the top.
Garnish with parsley (optional).
Serve immediately with fresh, warm or toasted pita bread.
Note: You can keep in some container and store it inside the refrigerator for 3 days.
